The Business Analyst III role at First National Bank (FNB) involves analysing business needs and translating them into clear system and functional requirements, while working closely with stakeholders across business and IT to deliver effective solutions. The position focuses on improving end-to-end processes, identifying opportunities for optimisation and automation, supporting project delivery, and ensuring solutions are tested, validated, and compliant with governance standards, ultimately driving efficiency and better customer and employee experiences.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and translate business needs into clear, actionable system and functional requirements
• Assess, optimise, and improve end-to-end business processes
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and cost savings
• Facilitate and coordinate the delivery of projects and initiatives
• Collaborate with business, IT, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment
• Produce documentation, reports, and insights to support decision-making
• Support solution testing, validation, and continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, governance, and audit requirements

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in complex business and systems environments
• Relevant degree or qualification (e.g. Business, Information Systems, IT, or related field)
• Strong process analysis and business requirements gathering skills
• Ability to translate business needs into system and functional specifications
• Experience with stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to identify process improvements, optimisation, and efficiency opportunities
